Re-Dye Don’t Re-Buy:

Dylon Launches the First Ever Capsule Collection for Autumn/Winter 2021

Did you know that re-dyeing a pair of jeans rather than purchasing a new pair saves up to 20 kilograms of carbon dioxide production, which is the equivalent of a one-way flight From London to Madrid? Shocking, we know!

At Dylon, we’re on a mission to help the textile industry lower its carbon emissions, so earlier this year we launched the ‘Re-Dye Don’t Re-Buy’ initiative, which is a response to an academic report we commissioned looking into the environmental impact of consumers buying new clothes versus re-dyeing existing garments here[i].

By using Dylon Dyes it is possible to make your old clothes look colourful and brand new again, so we teamed up with sustainable fashion guru Kavita Donkersley of ‘SheWearsFashion’ Kavita | Fashion & Life (@shewearsfashion) • Instagram photos and videos to create our first capsule collection!  Whether it’s loungewear, office attire or those favourite weekend jeans you’re just not ready to part with! See below for Kavita’s four outfit upcycling guides to inspire the revival and recycling of your own wardrobe.

Showcase your results on social media, tagging @dylon_uk with the hashtag #ReDyeDontReBuy
