Henkel's packaging strategy

When designing our packaging, we take great care to ensure that you can use our products safely and that we reduce the ecological footprint and waste at the same time.

Our packaging developers are continuously working on packaging that uses as little material as possible and with materials for which public recycling systems exist. Because we consider the entire life cycle of our products, we also think about the disposal and recycling of packaging materials. The goal is a circular economy for plastics.

By 2025, Henkel's goal is for 100 per cent of our packaging to be recyclable or reusable. We are also aiming to reduce the amount of new plastics from fossil sources in our consumer goods by 50 per cent. We will achieve this by increasing the proportion of recycled plastic to more than 30 per cent and reducing the volume of plastic.

Detailed information about Henkel's commitment can be found here.

Our recyclability

The bottle bodies of our Dylon products are made from unmixed plastic. Once their contents have been used up, the empty bottles can be disposed of in the recycling process via the yellow bin, for example.

The full recyclability of our Dylon containers is certified by the INSTITUT CYCLOS-HTP.

Since January 2022, the bottle bodies of all Dylon liquid variants have been made from 50 per cent recyclate.
